Kusadaski and Epheses Turkey

The ship docking in Turkey was beautiful. The landscape is very hillly and the temperature very hot. The tour was ready to leave the ship but waited for one couple that was late in arriving. No, it was not Dd and me, but you were close, it was Karen and Mike. Mike was smiling so one must ask oneself what made them late?  I have my own opinion, but I will leave it up to you to firm your own sick depraved opinion.. Mind you, it is  getting crowded down here in the  gutter. Our tour guide, Volkan, was very funny and open to our suggestions and to what we wanted to see and know. The ruins of Ephesus were unreal.

Before I publish some photos I need to apologize to my loyal followers. My mentor, Erin Mundy, was rightly unhappy with the quality of my photos. I am truly sorry for the unacceptable pics and I promise to either take better pics or change mentors. I do not handle criticism  well, no big surprise. I will stop stalling and show you a few oft " most excellant" photos:

This is Dd's best attempt at being a tour guide.

The above Goddess is Nike, yes the one that the sport ware company was named after.

Dd and Karen seemed to be happy that the statute had a penisotomy.... I think it is fair to say the statute was not as happy about losing its penis. So to speak, it got its rocks off.....

The ruins were very crowded but it is easy to understand why it is considered one of the 7 wonders of the world.

We then went to a carpet factory and Dd got a bit drunk on Ouzo, a very potent alcholhic drink.. Following the drinking she had the rug people spread out a ton of carpets making the owners think she was going to buy. In fairness to Dd she did get the price  lowered from $8,750.00 down to $5,000.00 delivered to our home. Dd's biggest problem was to figure out how to leave the place as the tour bus was waiting for us. Here are two pics of the same rug but because they are made a certain double knotted way they have very different looks as to its color depending how it is turned. I swear to each of you that it is the same carpet:

How am I doing pic wise, Erin??????

We then went to a little village and I had Turkish coffee,  but no one  told me I was not suppose to drink the bottom of the cup which looks like and taste like sludge.. A very bad experience.

This is the end of the Turkey blog but tomorrow is Santorini, oh by the way we went up the mountain in a bus on a very steep, winding  and narrow road and Dd just about freaked out as did about half the passengers  on the bus.. Till tomorrow, Caio Belle......
